On 2/5/2024, at 11:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Vicky Williamson conducted an unannounced complaint inspection for the purpose of delivering findings regarding the above allegation. LPA met with Administrative Director, Brenda Casillas and Center Director, Roxanna Larios. During the inspection there were 116 children present with 14 staff members.

During the course of the investigation, interviews were conducted with the administrative director, center director, daycare children and parents. Children files and pertinent documentation were reviewed and obtained. It was alleged that staff hit a daycare child. Directors and staff members denied the allegation and stated that corporal punishment is not allowed at the facility. Staff members stated that redirection is utilized.

During interviews with staff members, daycare children and daycare parents, no collaborating evidence regarding the allegation was obtained. There is conflicting evidence obtained during the investigation.

Though the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.

No deficiencies cited. A copy of this report along with Appeals Rights were provided. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. An exit interview was conducted with Administrative Director, Brenda Casillas and Roxanna Larios.
