25 | On 01/28/2025 at 2:00 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Julieta Abrego and Michelle Hood arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Center Director Roxanna Larios and disclosed the purpose of the inspection. LPAs proceeded to tour the facility indoors and outdoors with Larios. Facility is requesting to add an additional playground area. The following ratios were observed: 95 preschool children and 13 staff in the Preschool classrooms and 11 toddler-option children with two staff.
The preschool playground was inspected and measured a total of 894.44 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 11 preschool children. Admin Director Brenda Casillas was reminded that children shall be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the outdoor activity space and direct visual observation is required at all times. Outdoor play equipment is age appropriate. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in safe condition and free of hazards with a canopy for shade. Proper supervision and placement of staff during outdoor activities was advised to ensure the supervision and the safety of children at all times. As of today, the playground has been approved for use.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Casillas. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND WILL REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS. Failure to comply with the posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. No deficiencies are cited. |
