On 3/22/23 at 8:10am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane conducted a case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase and room change. Upon arrival, LPA met with Owner, Letecia Zepeda and Director, Jackie Aguigui-Fajardo and were led on a tour the facility. There were eight (8) children and two (2) staff members present. The facility is requesting a capacity increase to 50 preschool children, age 2 years - Kindergarten in rooms 1 and 2. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:00am to 5:30pm.

The indoor space was inspected and measured a total of 1783.78 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 50 children. Classrooms are equipped with appropriate furniture, napping mats, tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves and other materials for the children. The facility has a total of 11 toilets and nine (9) sinks exclusive for the children's use, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Director stated she will hang signs on the restrooms in the lobby area to ensure exclusive use during operating hours.

Owner and director stated they understand the outdoor activity space is for the exclusive use of the preschool children during operating hours and elementary students will not utilize the preschool outdoor activity space. The outdoor activity space was inspected and previously measured a total of 2,819.84 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 37 children.

A fire clearance for 50 preschool children, age 2 years - Kindergarten was granted 2/13/23.

The following is required:
· Waiver request for activity space due to insufficient outdoor space.
· Submit proof of sufficient cushioning under high climbing equipment and slides
· Submit proof of signs posted on restrooms in the church lobby area

Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies were cited. Exit interview conducted with Owner, Letecia Zepeda and Director, Jackie Aguigui-Fajardo. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's date. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
