32 | The staff restroom located in the Palm classroom will be designated for ill children. The director’s office will be designated as an isolation area for ill children. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector and a first aid kit with required supplies located in the facility, per observation. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous substances shall be kept inaccessible to the children in care. The facility will be utilizing manual sign in and sign out. Required documents were observed to be posted near the front entrance of the facility.
The outdoor preschool play area was inspected and measured a total of 5,643.79 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 75 children at one time. The outdoor play area is fully fenced and includes outdoor play equipment that is age appropriate. There is sufficient rubber mulch material for cushioning under and around the play structure that absorbs falls; including swings and a slide. LPA observed adequate shade in the outdoor play area by the use of canopy’s. LPA observed the outdoor activity space surfaces to be free of hazards. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity, per observation. Proper supervision and placement of staff during outdoor activities was advised to ensure the supervision and the safety of children during outdoor play.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.

Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
