25 | On 7/30/2024, at approximately 9:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonathan Tse conducted a case management visit at the facility. LPA met with facility representative, Erin Grogan (S1), and explained the purpose of the visit. The facility is currently closed over the summer and did not have any children in care during the visit.
Measurements of Rooms 115 and 116 were completed during visits on 3/29/2024 and 5/20/2024. Measurements were requested again due to renovations being done in Rooms 115 and 116. During the visit, LPA found Room 115 to have an allowable indoor activity space of 544.9 sq. ft., and Room 116 to have an allowable indoor activity space of 589.9 sq. ft., which is a total of 1134.8 sq. ft. of indoor activity space.
S1 informed LPA that a storage room was removed from Room 117. This space is now available for use in Room 117. LPA measured the additional indoor activity space that is now available to be 98.2 sq. ft.
The total allowable indoor activity space being added to the facility is 1233.0 sq. ft., which allows for an additional 35 children to be requested for the licensed capacity. The new requested capacity shall be for 131 children. LPA was informed that fire clearance was obtained by the facility.
LPA observed that the outdoor activity space was currently undergoing renovations. The Department was notified of the planned renovations.
LPA discussed outdoor activity space requirements with S1. The current outdoor activity space is currently approved for use by up to 103 children. LPA discussed rotational waiver requests for use of the outdoor space with S1, in the case that the facility is approved for more than 103 children. LPA advised that a follow-up visit shall be conducted once all renovations are completed. S1 stated that they understood.
No deficiencies were cited during today's visit on 7/30/2024. A notice of site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted, and report was reviewed with facility representative, Erin Grogan. |
