25 | On 11/18/2025 at 9:00AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis Gomez met with Director, Ihuoma Iheukwumere. The purpose of today's visit was explained and was for an unannounced- annual random inspection. Present was Director, and 12 staff supervising 34 children. Facility is preschool center with a toddler-age classroom on-site. The childcare center days and hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 8:00AM- 5:30PM. The program utilizes three classrooms: Alpha, 4-5 years old; Beta, 3-4 year-old; Omega, 1.5 3-year-old; the shared Outdoor Play Yard; Hallway; and Project Space. LPA inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards.
At 9:20AM., LPA observed the following: classrooms were neat and orderly, with age-appropriate playthings and materials available for the children. The doorways, floors, and surfaces were clean and clear of obstructions. The classrooms equipped with several activity areas available to the children. LPA observed several tables/ chairs, scaled to the appropriate size. The center has books, art supplies, and puzzles/ blocks, in good repair. The classrooms have labeled cubbies for storage of belongings. The children’s bathroom, shared by classrooms, was observed safe and sanitary with toilets in operating condition.
LPA confirmed broken faucet in shared the bathroom space. During inspection, faucet was repaired.
LPA observed diaper changing tables available for the staff, within arm’s reach of a sink. Trash bins used for solid waste had been covered.
For nap/ scheduled rest, classrooms have stackable cots, made from cleanable material. The beds were labeled with each child’s name and stored inside each classroom. Per director, napping supplies are washed weekly by the facility.
LPA reminded director to ensure children’s napping linens are not touching.
The facility has adequate ventilation and lighting. The facility has a functioning telephone service; carbon monoxide detectors; and fire extinguisher (2A10BC). Per director, smoke detector are functioning, built into building.
Facility kitchen was reviewed during visit. Per director, food services (2 meals and 1 snack) are delivered daily by an outside agency (Chefables).
The kitchen was observed clean and free of pests or vermin. The food had been properly stored, and was current. (REFER TO 809C, FOR CONT.)
