LPA observed the facility has fully stocked first aid kit in the classroom and they have also had backpack which includes emergency supplies to take whenever they go to park.
LPA inspected the bathrooms and saw 2 toilet one urinal and 3 sinks, found them clean, sanitary, and in working condition. The water temperature was proper.
Per the director facility provides breakfast, lunch, and p.m. snack. LPA inspected the kitchen with the director and observed the kitchen is clean, all foods are stored properly to avoid contamination.
The facility has enough sleeping cots/mats and per the director children brought their sheets/blankets from home and every Fridays to be washed.
LPA checked the facility history and found the facility has waiver for outdoor play. LPA discussed the waiver with the director, Sara and Sara stated they are not using the outdoor as it is in the building, and they are getting complaint from the residents. Per the director they are taking children to Lafayette Park for outdoor play between 10:40 to 11:30 a.m. every day considering the weather condition. Sara added they take emergency backpack and individual water bottles during the outdoor play.
Per the director facility has only one kid who has allergy. LPA observed the EpiPen in its original box with the consent form, but it is just expired in September,2024. LPA reminded director they need to check it regularly to make sure they are updated and replaced with the proper one.
The Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption or transfer their existing clearance or exemption prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center.
