Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yee conducted a Required - 1-year inspection today. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Present at the facility are the licensee, Jennifer Fang, helper, and 3 daycare children (2 infants, and 1 preschool). Days and hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM-5:30 PM. The current residents at the facility are Jennifer and her sister only. All adults living at the facility have criminal record clearance on file. The facility personnel summary report was verified with Jennifer and she said it is current. Daycare areas (street level): Front yard, infant room, bathroom, art room, and living room. The remaining areas are off-limit. LPA and the licensee did a physical plant tour to inspect for health and safety hazards in the licensed areas. Outdoor space inspected for health and safety hazards; outdoor play area is completely fenced. The daycare has a fully charged fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements, smoke detectors, and a carbon monoxide (CO) detector in the daycare. First aid supplies are available. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children are stored inaccessible to children. The daycare area is kept clean and orderly and has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Per Licensee, there are no firearms or weapons in the home. LPA did not observe any spas, swimming pools, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water at the facility. There is plenty of variety of age-appropriate toys and materials in the daycare. A sick child would be separated from the group and wait for a parent to pickup. Licensee has current Pediatric First Aid and CPR training (exp. 7/31/24). Staff and Children's files were reviewed. Some immunizations for staff were missing. LPA explained the requirement during the visit. The facility participate in a food program.
