25 | On September 27, 2022, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Van and Leong met with the Lead teacher, Man Chan, for an unannounced required annual random inspection in conjunction with the complaint investigation. The facility is an infant program with an attached toddler component. There were 13 infants & toddler children supervised by four staff. Another group of children and teachers returned from the park during the visit. In total, there were 25 children and 11 teachers. The owner, Miranda Pan, and Site Director, Stacey Toledo, arrived during the visit. The facility complies with the Staff-Infant ratios today. The operations hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. The program operates in a large room, with a partition to separate the infant and toddler component group. The toddler playroom is for 18 – 36 months, and the infant playroom is for 0-24 Months.
The Lead Teacher and LPAs inspected the Center for health and safety hazards. LPAs observed that the facility utilizes the Brightwheel app for sign-in / out for parents or authorized representatives. The Center is clean and orderly. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. The facility has age-appropriate toys, furniture, cribs, changing tables, and equipment. LPAs observed no pools, spas, or other bodies of water. Per the Director, there are no firearms or weapons at the Center. All cleaning supplies or potentially harmful items are stored inaccessible to the children. Separate staff bathrooms are available. All solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting lids. The facility has more than one carbon monoxide detector, a centralized smoke alarm, and a fully stocked First Aid kit.
