- Licensee/owner must maintain all records of enrolled children and update to date Children Roster
- The director/owner must be truthful with Licensing personnel or representatives.
- It is important to maintain precise records, and under no circumstances should these records be altered or falsified.
- The Director/owner must ensure that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Childcare Center.
- The director/owner must review and inform center staff that any duly authorized officer, employee, or agent of the department may, upon presentation of proper identification, enter and inspect any place providing personal care, supervision, and services at any time, with or without advance notice, to secure compliance with, or to prevent a violation of, this act or the regulations adopted by the department pursuant to the act.
Additional inspections may be required due to the center's history of deficiencies and non-compliance.
LPM explained that the Department's goal is to work alongside the center to ensure regulatory compliance. However, it is important for the center to follow the established regulations. Future noncompliance and further citations may lead to administrative action against the license.
