LPAs and the licensee inspected the daycare areas for health and safety hazards. During the inspection, LPAs observed the following: the child care areas are clean and organized, and it is equipped with age-appropriate toys and equipment for the children. The home has adequate lighting and ventilation, a working telephone, a functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher.
First aid supplies are available for children. Per licensee, there are no firearms, weapons, or pets in the home. LPAs observed no pools, spas, or other bodies of water on the premises. All poisons, detergents, and cleaning products are stored out of reach of children.
LPA observed the licensee had posted all the required forms (i.e., License, Emergency Disaster Plan, etc.). Fire drills are conducted and documented accordingly, and the last one was held on 8/18/2025.
The licensee has complete records for children in care, including immunization records and Parents' Rights forms, and emergency contact information.
Licensee and helper both have up-to-date Pediatric First Aid & CPR and Mandated Reporter training certifications. Additionally, immunizations are on file.
LPAs observed seven Pack N Plays in the child care areas. All were free of toys, blankets, or pillows. The padding fitted properly, and the sheet was securely in place. The 15-minute sleep logs for infants were reviewed, confirming that the licensee recorded each entry with the date and time. However, there were interruptions where the licensee did not have certain weeks documented. LPAs reminded the licensee to consistently complete the logs daily. LPAs also reminded the licensee that sleeping sacks are not allowed.
LPAs also reminded the licensee to keep at least 30 days of logs available for review during the annual inspection and to retain records for 3 years.
The back yard is completely fenced and well-stocked with a variety of outdoor toys and equipment in good condition. No hazards were observed.
