On 07/12/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvira Sierra and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Bettina Engelman met with Licensee, Noreen Schmidt-Rios for a Plan of Correction (POC) inspection. A follow up evaluation was conducted on today inspection to verify compliance for citations cited on 05/10/23. Present in the facility were Licensee, and Licensee's daughter caring for nine daycare children. Facility is within License capacity during visit.

Exposed electrical cords were observed rolled up in a high place inaccessible to children. LPA advised electrical wires must be securely placed and inaccessible to children at all times when children are present. Fireplace in the living room is barricaded. LPA observed an additional playpen and Licensee stated that she understands that individual bedding must be used for infants in care. LPA observed proof of CPR for Licensee (exp on 02/11/25 and Licensee's son (exp 05/14/25). LPA reviewed children record and children records have immunization and ID information. LPA observed a current facility roster and proof of fire drills log. In addition LPA reviewed children files and files have the Acknowledgment of Receipts of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224) signed by parents for citation type A cited on 05/10/23. Deficiencies cited on 05/10/23 have been cleared on today's visit.

Exit interview conducted. This report and Appeal of Rights were reviewed and provided to Licensee, Noreen Schmidt-Rios. A Notice of Site of Site visit was posted and must remain posted for 30 days.
