25 | On March 27, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stacey Williams conducted an unannounced annual random inspection and met with Licensee, Graciela Alvarez. LIC (126) Entrance Checklist for Family Childcare Homes was provided and reviewed with Licensee. There were two children present during today’s inspection. Facility hours of operation are from 5:30am -7:00 pm five days a week (Mon-Fri). Licenses does not provide overnight care. Facility fees are current. Criminal record clearances have been verified.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Upon entry, LPA observed the posting of the facility license, Emergency Disaster Plan, Earthquake Preparedness Checklist and Notification of Parent Rights.
The off-limits areas in the home include the attached back house, the backyard, the side yards on both sides of the house, the master bedroom, and the son's upstairs bedroom. The entire upstairs is inaccessible by a closed and locked door. The backyard is inaccessible by metal fences that disable access to the side yards as well. Outdoor play space is in the front yard, and the area is fenced. The off-limit areas are being made inaccessible by closed locked doors, baby gate, and SUPERVISION. LPA reminded licensee that 100% SUPERVISION is always required while the daycare children play outdoor in the front yard. Licensee acknowledged that she understands 100% SUPERVISION requirement for outdoor play at her front yard.
