13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwin Tjhia met with Site Supervisor Judy Artellan, to deliver finding of the complaint investigation regarding the above allegation. There were 19 children during the visit today supervised by 10 staff.
Throughout the investigation, LPA conducted record reviews and interviews with facility staff and parents. It was alleged that staff facility staff handled a child in a rough manner resulting in an injury. The interview revealed that staff never handle children in a rough manner. Parents Interviewed revealed that their children enjoyed going to the facility and did not think that staff physically rough on handling the children. The interviewed parents also stated that they did not have any concerns regarding this.
Based on the information obtained throughout the course of this investigation the above allegations, LPA Tjhia determined that the complaint was found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur.
An exit interview was conducted with the site supervisor. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
