25 | On August 21st, 2024, at 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Nguyen met with licensee, Christina Castro for the purpose of a case management inspection. The purpose of today's visit is to change the capacity from a small license to large. LPA Nguyen was granted for entrance into the facility by licensee. Licensee was granted a fire clearance by Stockton Fire Department on 8/12/2024. Licensee's biological daughter/assistant was also present during the inspection. Licensee's operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM. to 6:00 PM. There was one (1) child present at the start of the inspection.
All adults subject to criminal background review have obtained criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. The detached two-story and single family home consists of four (4) bedrooms, three (3) bathrooms, and an attached 2-car garage. Off-limits areas in the home include the downstairs bedroom, the laundry room, the attached 2-car garage, and the entire upstairs. Off limit areas are being made inaccessible by closed locked doors, baby gates, and SUPERVISION. On-limits areas in the home include the living room, family room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom in the hallway, and backyard.
