25 | Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christopher Jackson met with Applicant, Aida Lomeli and Teacher, Katheryne Douglass for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection via FaceTime due to COVID-19. Applicant requests a school-age license to serve 10 school-age children from kindergarten and above. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fire clearance was granted and received on 3/22/2021.
Applicant acknowledges that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, car seat poster, menus, and daily schedule. AS discussed the forms that must be in each child's and each staff member's file. AS provided LIC311A, Effects of Lead Exposure brochure, and Healthy Schools Act survey. The facility will be providing morning and afternoon snack during the school year and during holidays and summer.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There is one school-age classroom. The classroom is divided by the preschool classroom using a partition wall that is at least four feet tall. AS observed a sufficient amount of equipment, tables, chairs, and hooks. There is a first aid wall box located in the office and classroom. Medications will be stored in the staff room. AS observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children located in the kitchen. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. AS observed a water cooler and cups in the classroom. AS observed a functional dual smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the classroom. AS observed sign-in/sign-out binders.
