On 08/23/23, at 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Francisca Velazquez conducted an unannounced inspection at the Child Care Center (CCC) to deliver a finding with respect to the allegation noted above. LPA met with Candy Echevarria, Center Supervisor of the CCC and explained the nature and purpose of the investigation/inspection. LPA notes 13 children are present being cared by 3 staff.

The investigation included two site inspections, interviews with the complainant, interview with CCC staff, interview with Disability Coordinator, interview with mental health consultant, interviews with parents currently enrolled in the CCC and parents who had been previously enrolled at the CCC and record review.

Interviews and documents reviewed did not corroborate the allegation noted above. Unannounced inspections revealed the children at the CCC are in good spirits and there is always more than one staff with the children to ensure active supervision is always occurring. CONT 9099-C

Interviews with parents revealed that they are happy and satisfied with the CCC. In addition, parents reported feeling their children are safe and secure while in the CCC and expressed not worrying about their well-being.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) and Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) were provided to the Center Supervisor, Candy Echevarria. The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days or a civil penalty of $100.00 may apply.
