LPAs reminded the Director to ensure fencing in the outdoor play area is secure and in good repair. LPAs observed a building in the outdoor which serves are a storage unit. The building was secure. LPAs notes a portion of the outdoor is currently closed. Children in care have no access to the noted area. The area has a number of farm animals on site. LPAs reminded Director to ensure animals are properly care for and vaccinated when appropriate. No bodies of water were observed on site. Waste receptacles with tight fitting covers were observed throughout the CCC.
LPAs reviewed both children's records and the records of staff members. The children’s records are complete and found to contain emergency contact information as well as immunization records, amongst other required licensing forms and documents. Staff records were reviewed and contained Pediatric CPR and First Aid (ESMA approved) certifications as well as Mandated Reporter certifications, amongst other required licensing forms and documents. Director informed LPAs no firearm or ammunition is stored on site.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
