32 | LPA reminded the Licensee to either service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually. LPA reviewed the home’s fire/disaster drill documentation. The last drill was completed on 05/02/22.
The outdoor play yard is completed fenced. LPA notes that the yard affords plenty of natural shade for the children. Toys, furniture and equipment observed in the yard are age appropriate. LPA observed no bodies of water on site. LPA observed a outdoor hand washing station accessible to the children. LPA observed that drinking water is provided during the day by means of individualized cups.
A sampling of the children's records were reviewed. The records are current, complete and possessed emergency contact information. The Licensee's records were also reviewed and found to be complete. Licensee’s Pediatric CPR and First (EMSA approved) expires 04/21/23, spouse CPR expires 04/21/23 and assistant's CPR expires 1/1/24. LPA found that Licensee, Spouse and Assistant have valid Mandated Reporter certificates. Licensee's AB1207 expires 2/22/24, Spouse's AB1207 expirs 2/2/24 and Assistant's AB1207 expires 12/30/23.
The Licensee notes no firearms or ammunition are stored on site.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
