25 | On 10/13/25, at 1:45 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced annual random inspection of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Danielle Stratton, Licensee of the FCCH, and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. The LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the FCCH in its entirety (inside and outside). The home is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom single story home. The areas that are accessible for day care children are as follows: living room (main day care space), dining room (converted secondary day care space), one guest bedroom (infant napping room), one bathroom, and backyard. The remainder of the home is excluded from childcare services. In the home, inaccessible areas are made secure by child safety gates and locks. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed 9 day care children present, one of whom was an infant. The Licensee's husband was also present on site at the time of the inspection (cleared and associated).
LPA observed the FCCH to be clean and orderly. The bathroom, utilized for childcare, is clean and free of toxins. LPA observed bathroom cabinets to be free of hazardous items and contain child safety latches. LPA observed sharps on an elevated kitchen counter. Medication is stored in locked cabinet in the bathroom. No children currently require medication. Cleaning supplies are stored beneath the sink in a locked cabinet. Licensee informed LPA that a First Aid Kit is present in the residence for the day care.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and equipment throughout day care areas. In the living room, LPA observed a wood-burning fireplace that is barricaded by various furniture. Licensee informed LPA that the fireplace is not used during day care hours. LPA observed two dogs and seven cats present on site. Licensee informed LPA that the pets don't have interactions with children in care, however, their vaccinations are current.
LPA observed relevant licensing forms and documents posted prominently near the entry way of the residence. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors near the entry way and in the dining room. The smoke detector (CONT. 809-C, Page 2)
