25 | On November 18, 2022 at 9:25 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Licensee Gladys Castillo and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the home. There was four (4) children in care at the time of the inspection.
Licensee has a two (2) story apartment. The licensee uses the living room, dining room, kitchen, one (1) bathroom, and back yard for children in care. The second floor is off-limits to children in care. LPA observed a gate at the bottom of the stairs with mesh along the rails preventing children from having access to the second floor. Licensee had a 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted on the wall in the dining room with a purchase date of 9/16/22. Licensee has storage cubbies with toys and accessories. LPA observed age appropriate furniture, books, toys, activities, and other accessories accessible for children. The backyard is enclosed with a fence preventing children from wandering away from the facility. LPA observed age appropriate toys for children in care. Licensee does not have firearms or live ammunition in the home.
LPA observed the facility children roster. A sampling of children and staff records was observed. Children files were found to be current and complete. Staff file was found to be current and complete. Licensee's Pediatric CPR/First-aid expires on 7/17/23. Licensee's Mandated Reporter expires on 6/25/23. The last emergency drill was completed on 8/23/22. Licensee is following current Covid-19 and Safe Sleep requirements. LPA asked licensee if she had any questions regarding Covid-19 and Safe Sleep. She advised that she did not.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.
