25 | On 12/7/22, at 9:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced One Year Required Inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Administrator Kimberley Love, and explained the nature of the inspection. LPA, in the company of the Administrator, toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. LPA notes 12 children are on site during the inspection, along with five teachers (cleared and associated) providing care and supervision. The CCC is on the grounds of the Mind and Body Headquarters. The Infant program consist of three rooms. The CCC has an preschool program on site which operates under a separate license (406216227). The CCC operates from 7:45 AM-5:15 PM Monday - Friday.
LPA observed the rooms used for child care to be clean, organized and free of toxins. Each room is equipped with age appropriate furniture and toys. Cribs and cots are available for children in care. LPA observed changing stations within arm's reach of the sinks. The rooms also have mini refrigerators to store food items for infants. Food items for the children consumption is labeled and dated. Parents of children in care provide the children meals and snacks. The CCC has snacks and meals available to children in the instants a caregiver has forgot to provide such. The CCC provides filtered water for the children inside the CCC and in the outside play area. The Administrator is reminded to have the CCC's water sources tested for lead contaniments. There is ample storage space observed in the classroom for all children. LPA observed carbon monoxide detectors throughout the CCC. At 9:34 AM, a carbon monoxide detector was tested and found to be operable. There are two separate restrooms available to children, if needed. The restroom are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Each room has a parent boards containing required licensing notices and documentation. Administrator informed LPA no firearms or ammunition is stored on the premises.
The outdoor play area is completely enclosed by wrought iron fencing and the footing is varied. LPA observes play structure in the outdoor play area to be age appropriate and free of hazards and sharp points. The fall zones around the play structures have appropriate cushioning in the form of rubber matting. LPA observed ample shade in the outdoor play area which is provided by trees and building over hangs. LPA notes
