25 | On 07/14/23, at 12:57 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dixie Wright conducted an unannounced Required Annual inspection of this Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Jordan Farrell, Assistant, and toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH. Assistant called the Licensee, Stacie Hildebrand, and Licensee arrived later during the visit. The main Day Care room is accessed through a side gate on the side of the house and is separate from the main home. The main Day care room has a bathroom and small kitchen area. There is a back room in the main home that is used as the nap room. The rest of the main home is excluded; LPA observed five children on site, all over two years old, and one assistant, (cleared and associated). LPA observed required licensing forms and documents posted on the wall near the entryway. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in the main day care room, smoke alarm tested at 1:21 PM and functioning, Carbon Monoxide tested at 1:36 PM and functioning. The FCCH has a regulation fire extinguisher, purchased on 03/08/2023. Licensee is aware to either service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually. Last fire drill was done 06/01/2023. Facility hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Mon-Fri.
LPA observed age appropriate toys, furniture and equipment in the FCCH's interior. LPA observed the restroom used by children to be clean and free of toxins. Medications/vitamins, sharps and cleaning supplies are stored in the main house, not accessible to children.
The backyard is used for outdoor activities and is enclosed by wooden fencing. The footing is concrete and grass. Toys and play equipment observed on site are age appropriate. The fence’s entry/exit gate is secure. There is ample shade. There are no bodies of water observed on property.
Children's records were reviewed. The records are current, complete and possessed emergency contact information as well as immunization records. (CONT. LIC 809-C) |
