On 8/29/2024, at 8:55 AM, Licensing Program Analysts, (LPAs) Joaquin Mendez and Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced annual Inspection and met with Program Site Supervisor, Amber Eddy. LPAs explained the purpose of the inspection.

This is an Infant Center with Toddler Component. LPAs observed at the time of inspection 17 children (9-infants and 8-toddlers) and 8 staff (5 infant room, 3 toddler room). The center will continue to operate Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 5:30PM. LPAs toured the center both inside and outside. The 3 infant rooms (including the infant nap room) and 1 Toddler component room are used for childcare.
· There is a dedicated napping room for infant at the far end of the building.
· There is a changing table with an arm reach sink in the infant room.
· There are 3 toilets and 4 sinks for day care children's use. However, the CCC is not providing toilet training now.
· There is a separate bathroom and sinks for staff use.
· The rooms are equipped with age-appropriate furnishings and toys and there 2 refrigerators per program.
· There are individual cubbies for the children's belongings/nap bedding.
· The playground is separated with a gate among infants and toddler.
· The playground has age-appropriate toys and equipment. LPAs reminded the Site Supervisor the importance of morning and daily checks of all play equipment prior to allowing children to play.

·Shaded areas and the surface are free of hazardous item.
· The fire clearance was granted on 6/21/2022 for 27 Infant and Toddlers.
· Children in care bring their own water bottles from home refilled and staff refill water throughout the day from filtered water in the infant room.
· Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed and located throughout the facility but were not tested due to children napping.
· Children’s records were reviewed and found to be complete and up to date with all required documentation.
· Safe sleep log was included through the bright wheel application. LPAs observed several infant accounts on the application and observed proper date and times of 15-minute checks of the infants in care.
· Bright wheel application is also used when signing in and out for the children in care.
· Emergency fire/earthquake drills were observed, and the last date conducted was documented 6/04/2024 with 20 children and 7 staff.
· Staff records were reviewed with credentials and qualifications. All sub records documentation was found to be complete. All staff have renewed the Mandated reporter training per AB1207 which expires, general date noted below.
· Mandated reporter training expires 5/31/2025.
· CPR certificate expires 8/14/2025.

record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Childcare Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Assembly Bm CAB) 2370. Chapter 676, Statutes of20'18. requires all licensed Childcare Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.

LPAs verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance with the Written Directives
outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.

LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with Site Supervisor Amber Eddy and
discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at
https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesouroes/child-care-licensing/public-information-and­resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPAs also informed Site Supervisor Amber Eddy of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www..cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services - IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of "medication
and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children's, personnel, and administrative records.

Site Supervisor Amber Eddy was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
No deficiencies were cited in today’s inspection.
