32 | The center submitted a waiver request to allow the preschool children to co-mingle with the toddler option during specific times during operation hours. The waiver was granted and valid for the term of the license and is subject to review at the discretion of the licensing agency.
The waiver is granted under the following conditions:
1. The waiver is valid Mon-Fri between the hours of 7AM-8AM and 4:30 PM- 5:30 PM
2. Preschool and toddler program children can only be co-mingled during the above specific times for the first hour of the morning and the last hour of the day.
3. There must be a 1 to 6 ratio at all times when preschool and toddler children are co-mingled.
4. The above children must be supervised by a qualified teacher.
5. The facility shall be able to meet the needs of all children in care.
Failure to comply with the conditions may result in termination of the waiver.
LPA provided and reviewed with Site Supervisor the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. LPA discussed information capacity, ratios, current Covid-19, and safe sleep requirements. Site Supervisor was made aware that it is the facility's responsibility to know the current regulations for a CCC which can be accessed on-line at www.cdss.ca.gov.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
