As noted prior, the front yard and backyard on site are not utilized for the FCCH, however, children are escorted on nature walks to nearby Sherwood Park for outdoor play. The park is approximately a 5 minute walk from the FCCH. Licensee informed LPA that children are supervised at all times during outdoor walks and play. LPA reminded the Licensee of the importance of active supervision over children while outside of the day care. LPA observed no bodies of water on site and confirmed that this was the case with the Licensee.
LPA reviewed children's records. The records are current, complete, and possessed emergency contact information and immunization records, among other relevant licensing documents and forms. The Licensee's records were also reviewed. Licensee completed their CPR/First Aid Training (EMSA approved) on 8/24/26 and their Mandated Reporter Training on 1/8/26. Licensee was reminded to renew certifications and training prior to expirations. The Licensee informed LPA that there are firearms and ammunition that are stored on site. Alongside the Licensee, LPA viewed the firearms in a secure, separate, and inaccessible area of the home.
