25 | On April 27th, , 2023 at approximately 9am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced required annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. LPA met with licensee, Rosa Vazquez. Present in the facility are licensee and assistants caring for 6 children (4 infants and 2 preschool age). All adults living and working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file.
Licensee owns home, which is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, single level house. Licensee lives with one adult and a minor child. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Daycare areas are: Playroom/Garage, Living Room, Side yard/Driveway, and Side yard with lawn. OFF limit area: Kitchen (pass by only), Bedrooms #1 and #2, Bathroom #1 (all children are currently in diapers), and Backyard. All off limit areas are properly barricaded.
LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. Home does not have a fireplace. There are no pets in the home. There were no pools, spas or bodies of water on the property. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. Discipline Policy was discussed. Isolation in the playroom.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm, and a working telephone on site. Phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
LPA reviewed 6 children's file which were complete and staff files which were also complete. Licensees CPR & First Aid Certificate expires on 05/2024. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training expires 07/2024. Licensee understands that emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and need to be properly logged.
