25 | On January 22, 2024, at approximately 9:40 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Zaragoza conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with the director, Corey Bianchi, and explained the purpose of the visit.
Our lady of Angels is a preschool age program. Preschool program is located in the school grounds of Our Lady of Angels. Preschool program operates in two classrooms, the 4-year-old class, and the 3-year old class.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm and 8:30 am to 12:00pm. Present during LPA's visit was the director, 36 preschool age children and 5 teachers. Teachers are in the classroom with the children. Program is operating within capacity limits and ratio during LPA's visit.
LPA inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards. Classroom includes a variety of toys and materials that were in good condition. LPA observed classroom to have age-appropriate furniture, equipment, and materials. LPA observed cleaning materials to be stored in high shelves, inaccessible to children in care.
Per director, children do not sleep while they are in preschool. Per director, some children enrolled have a short schedule, when children arrive, they are in the class learning and working. After children are finished, some kids go outside for lunch, and some kids gets picked up.
The classrooms are equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher and first aid kit. LPA observed Carbon monoxide detector in the classrooms. Carbon monoxide detectors were tested during visit and were observed to be working. Smoke alarm was unable to get tested, due to alarm wired to the entire school buildings. Storage for children's belongings is in classrooms. Children's cubbies are labeled with children's individual picture and name on it.
