25 | On June 14, 2024, at approximately 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with director, Marina Yakubovich, and explained the purpose of the inspection.
Present during LPA's inspection included 33 enrolled children, director, and four staff. All staff members working in facility are fingerprint cleared. Preschool program currently operates Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Program consists of three portable classrooms with a children's bathroom in each, and an outdoor play area. Facility is located in Cabrillo Children's School in Pacifica.
At approximately 10:30 AM, LPA, and director inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards. Facility has a working telephone, three fully stocked first aid kits, and three fire extinguishers on site in each classroom. Entire facility has a smoke and fire alarm system implemented. LPA observed cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to children in staff bathrooms and cabinet of P3. Per director, facility has children with allergies. Allergies are posted in main classroom P3 accessible to staff. Epi-pens and other medications are located in an inaccessible area to children and kept in original packaging in main classroom.
Storage for children's belongings are located inside each classroom. Classrooms have age-appropriate furniture and materials that are in working condition. Classrooms have proper temperature and is properly ventilated. LPA observed all three classrooms have one accessible children's sink. A children's bathroom is located in each classroom with an additional sink inside. All accessible sinks are free of poisons or hazardous materials and do not produce hot water. LPA observed bathroom to be clean and in proper working condition.
Program provides breakfast, and snack. Lunch is provided by children families. Children's items are properly stored in individual cubbies. Drinking water is available to children, indoors and outdoors, with children's individual drinking bottles and refilled by tested sink in P3. |
