25 | On April 23rd, 2025, at approximately 12:10pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano and Tran conducted an unannounced random/annual inspection and met with licensee, Marichu Kho Yang. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to licensee. Present in the facility are licensee and licensee's assistant caring and supervising 1 infant. During today's inspection, all adults living and/or working in the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated.
Licensee owns home, which is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, single level home with an ADU in the back. Licensee lives with husband and another adult. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm. Daycare areas are: Living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom #2, bathroom #2, front yard, and backyard. Off Limits Areas: Bedroom #1, bedroom #3, bathroom #2, Garage/laundry room, and ADU. Children will pass by the kitchen and garage to get to the backyard. All off limit areas, including closets, are properly barricaded.
LPA observed the Day-care is clean, orderly with a variety of age-appropriate toys for the children. All furniture inspected is in good repair. The licensee has a fully stocked First Aid kit and was reminded to be aware of the expiration on the First Aid Kit. In the backyard, there is an above ground fishpond that is properly covered. LPA reminded licensee about water safety. The home does have a fireplace that is properly barricaded. The home has age-appropriate equipment available for children in care. Licensee was reminded that baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and any other similar items are to not be used for children in care. Per licensee, infant children sleep in pack and plays in Bedroom #2.
