25 | On June 18th, 2025, at approximately 3pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Tapia-Mandujano and Olguin-Leon conducted an unannounced, plan of correction (POC) inspection. LPAs explained the purpose of the inspection to Site Supervisor, Alicia Young and Assistant Director, Jeannine Solis. Present in the facility are Site Supervisor and Assistant Director with 17 staff and 65 preschool age children. All adults are fingerprint cleared through the San Carlos School District. During today’s inspection, facility is operating within teacher to child ratio in each classroom.
Facility is located on Brittan Acres Elementary School. Facility is licensed for 91 preschool age children in rooms 22, 23, 24, and 25, 26, and 27. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm. Children are signed into and out of program using Bright Wheel application with authorized representatives' electronic signatures.
On June 17th, 2025, LPA Tapia-Mandujano was conducting a Case Management Inspection. During inspection there were a total of 94 preschool age children present with 120 enrolled. The facility was operating outside of the capacity limitations (101161(a)). LPA issued a Type A citation for operating over the licensed capacity limitations. A POC was developed with the facility.
As of this date, LPAs reviewed total children enrolled, total children present today, and total children present during the inspection. Based on records and observations, there were a total of 79 preschool age children total today and 65 children during the inspection. LPA Tapia-Mandujano has also received a written plan on how they will maintain no more than 91 children at any given time.
During today's visit, LPAs observed the Reports posted with the type A deficiency and Notice of Site Visit from 06/17/25. LPAs also observed that LIC 9224 were outside the rooms for parents to sign. Per Assistant Director, an email with the report and LIC 9224 was also emailed to all families of enrolled children.
As of this date, LPAs have cleared the POC of capacity limitations and has provided POC letter.
Based on today's inspection, no deficiencies were observed, according to California Title 22, Health and Safety Code of Regulations.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
