25 | On June 21st, 2022 at 9:40am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced required annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. LPA met with licensee, Ivonne Reyes Garcia. Present in the facility is licensee and two assistants caring for 11 children (2 infant, 9 preschool age). All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance and associated to the facility.
Licensee rents duplex home which is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, single story home. The hours of operation are Monday- Friday from 7:45am-5pm. Daycare areas are: Living Room, Bedroom #1, Dining area, Bathroom #2, Lunch room, Back yard, Driveway, and Front yard. OFF limit areas: Kitchen, Bedroom #2 with Bathroom #1, Bedroom #3, (detached) Garage, and Side yard. All off limit areas are properly barricaded. All off limit areas are properly barricaded.
LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee to inspect for health and safety hazards. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. Home does not have a fireplace. Per licensee, there are no pets. There are no pools, and bodies of water in the premises. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. Discipline Policy was discussed.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm, and a working telephone on site. Phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. LPA reviewed eleven children's record. LPA also reviewed facility and personnel records. Licensees CPR & First Aid Certificate will expire 08/2023. Licensee's mandated reporter training will expire on 08/2023. Emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and should be properly logged.
