25 | On December 10th, 2024, at approximately 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Karla Gomez, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA’s visit included licensee, and 3 enrolled children (2 infants and 1 preschooler). The licensee is a large license and is operating as a small within capacity limits and ratio.
Licensee owns home, which is a 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen/dining area, backyard, front yard, and garage. Licensee lives in home with spouse. All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance. Facility operates Monday Through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Day Care Areas: Bedroom #1 (napping room only), Bedroom #2, Bathroom #1 (located next to kitchen), living room, Kitchen/Dining area (pass-by only), Backyard, Front yard, and Garage.
Off Limit Areas: Bedroom #3 and Bathroom #2. All off limit areas are properly barricaded with locked doors. All individuals enter the home enter through the gate located on the side of the house.
At approximately 2:40 PM, LPA toured day care areas of home with licensee. LPA observed the home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in working condition. LPA observed a fully stocked accessible first aid kit located in the the main classroom. LPA did not observe any accessible cleaning supplies, poisons, and solutions in day care areas. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with furniture and outlet covers. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher and multiple smoke and carbon monoxide detector. Per licensee, she has one child with a soy sauce allergy. Licensee has an enclosed Epi-pen for child in an off limit area. Per licensee, she provides all foods for the children in care.
At approximately 3:00 PM, LPA observed bathroom for children's use was in proper working condition. LPA observed bathroom to include appropriate toileting equipment and sanitation products. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials to be accessible to children in the bathroom. Per licensee, she has no children in care that use the bathroom.
