25 | On April 6, 2023 at approximately 12:45pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Khilola Begiyeva, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA's visit included both licensees, two assistant teachers and 11 preschool children. Facility is operating within capacity limits and ratio during LPA's visit.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. All adults living and/or working in the home have fingerprint clearance on file.
Licensees live in the mulit-level home. The DAY CARE AREAS are the living room (main classroom), dining area, family room (playroom), nap room (located next to playroom), bathroom #1 and backyard. The OFF LIMIT AREAS include the kitchen (pass by only), garage and entire second level of home. Off limit areas are made inaccessible with a child safety gate and/or locked doors.
With licensee, LPA toured day care areas of home. Licensees operate home as a Russian immersion program. LPA observed home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Living room, dining area, and play room were equipped with a variety of age appropriate toys and materials that were in good working condition. Living room includes a fire place that is appropriately barricaded. LPA observed poisons, cleaning supplies and solutions to be made inaccessible, located in home's high shelves. Children's napping area was observed to be clean with appropriate bedding equipment.
Bathroom for children's use was observed to be clean and in proper working condition. Bathroom is equipped with appropriate toileting equipment and appropriate sanitation products. LPA did not observe any poisons, chemicals or hazardous materials in accessible drawers.
Home is equipped with a fully stocked first aid kit, fully charged fire extinguisher, fully stocked emergency backpack, and a working smoke/carbon monoxide detector. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
