25 | On August 26, 2024 at approximately 9:50 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with director, Meagan Vincent, and explained the purpose of the inspection. On date of LPA's visit, preschool program was on summer break. No children were present during LPA's inspection. Per director, facility will re open to a total of 40 enrolled children on 8/28/2024.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM. Present during inspection included 9 staff members (including director) and 0 enrolled children. Facility is operating within capacity requirements and ratios at time of LPA's inspection. Facility is a two floor building. Preschool Program operates out of three classrooms on the first floor, and a multi-purpose area on the second floor.
LPA and director inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards. LPA observed classrooms to be clean, equipped with age appropriate toys, materials, and furniture. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with outlet covers and furniture. LPA also observed covered trash cans in each classroom. Storage for children's belongings are located outside each classroom, labeled with each child's individual names. LPA observed classrooms have enough sleeping mats available for all children in care. Per director, parents provide sheets and take them home weekly for washes.
LPA observed facility has an installation of a fire alarm system throughout the entire building. Smoke detectors are dual detectors with carbon monoxide. Each classroom has a fully stocked and accessible first aid kit backpack. Facility has multiple fire extinguisher located on each floor. All poisons, cleaning solutions and hazardous materials are stored inaccessible to children in locked cabinets under the sink of each classroom.
LPA observed children's bathrooms to be clean and in proper working condition. Per director, children's sinks do not provide hot water. Facility does not provide any food service. Parents and authorized representatives provide food for enrolled children that is packaged and stored in each child's cubbies located outside the classrooms. Lunches are labeled with each child's individual names. Per director, children have the option to order lunches. Ordered Food services are prepared in outside campus and delivered to facility. Water is available to children indoors and outdoors with children's water bottles. Facility also has three water fountains in the main hallway on the first floor.
