25 | On March 29, 2024, at approximately 8:55AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Zaragoza and Maria Olguin Leon conducted a scheduled relocation inspection. Applicant's previous license number was 414005088. LPAs met with applicants, Luciana De Oliveira and Elizabeth Regalado, and explained the purpose of the inspection.
Applicant's submitted an application for a address change for a family childcare home on March 7, 2024. Applicant's lives in a two story home. The second level of the home (the upstairs area) has the three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, ding room, and living room. The first level of the home has the basement, garage, and backyard. Living in the home are the applicants, Luciana De Oliveira, and spouse, Elizabeth Regalado, and spouse. All adults living in home have criminal background clearance.
Applicant plans to operate Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm. Applicant plans to care for children ages 4 months to 6 years old. With applicant, LPAs inspected the entire inside and outside of the home for health and safety hazards.
The DAY CARE AREAS are the living room, bedroom #1 (napping area), bathroom#1, dining room, and backyard. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are the kitchen, garage, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, bathroom #2, and basement. In order to get to the basement, applicant will use stairs to get downstairs. Basement will be used for walking through to the backyard area only. Off limit areas are made inaccessible with child safety gates, child safety door handles and/or locked doors. LPA reminded applicant off limit areas cannot be used without prior consent from department.
LPA observed the day care areas to be clean and safe. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher, multiple smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector. LPA tested the carbon monoxide detector located in the hallway, and bedroom #1 which was observed to be working. Per applicant, they have Next insurance for FCCH.
Flooring in home includes wood that was observed to be clean and safe. Day care areas are equipped with appropriate toys, materials and furniture that were in good condition. Bedroom #1 (napping room) has a closet with no child lock handle. LPA advised applicant to show correction for additional safety and submit proof to LPA before receiving license. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with safety covers.
