32 | The outdoor play area consists of two areas separated by a gate. At the time of the inspection, turf was being installed on the second play area, no children were present. Executive director stated turf installation will be completed by end of day. LPA observed ample shade, soft padding to absorb falls, water readily accessible, sinks, and age-appropriate equipment. The preschool outdoor play area is separated from that of the infant program to prevent co-mingling. Per center director, no bodies of water are present on the property.
The total indoor measurements of classrooms contain 1,075.81 square feet, which will accommodate licensee’s request for 29 preschool children.
The outdoor total measurements contain a total of 7,829.50 square feet, which will accommodate licensee’s request for 29 preschool children.
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
A Notice of Site Visit was given to the center director and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
License pending approval.
