25 | On 11/27/2024, at 12:21 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced annual inspection at the above Child Care Center (CCC). The purpose of the inspection was discussed with Director, Staci Rich who provided a tour of the facility. The CCC operates from Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM, CCC provides care to infant 0 to 24 months.
During the tour LPA observed the following: The CCC uses Classroom # 1 and the split classroom designated as Classroom # 3. Classroom #3 is split between preschool program (classroom #2). The changing tables in the infant's classrooms were observed to be within arm's reach of the sink. LPA observed 3 infants and 2 staff members in classroom # 1, and 5 infants playing in the outdoor yard under the supervision of 3 staff members. The classrooms were observed to be clean, organized and fully equipped with age-appropriate chairs, tables, toys, cots, crib, and activity materials.
The CCC had water available for children inside and outside the classroom supplied from filtered water system.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for
drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.
