On December 11, 2024 at 9 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced inspection for the purpose of closing a complaint at this child care center (CCC). LPA met with Director Tania Pacheco and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA conducted a tour of the interior and exterior of the facility with Director, Tania Pacheco. LPA observed a total of 10 children under the care and supervision of 2 staff members.

The Department received a complaint alleging a staff member (S1) hit a day care child (C1). The investigation included two unannounced inspections, LPA’s observations as well as interviews with staff and (random sampling) of current and former parents of children in care. During the unannounced inspections LPA did not observe any staff hitting children in care. Interviews with staff revealed that no one witnessed S1 hit C1. Furthermore, staff state S1 might have grabbed C1 too tight, but they do not think S1 hit C1. The CCC conducted an internal investigation as well. It was determined that S1 did not hit C1.

The majority of parents interviewed indicated they feel good about the care and supervision their children receive. Parents interviewed denied witnessing a staff member hit a child in care. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

No deficiencies were issued during this inspection.
