25 | On December 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elizabeth George and Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Required - 3 Year inspection at the above mentioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPAs met with Director Vanni Rattanatray and explained the purpose for the inspection.
Director informed LPAs the license is currently active however they have no school age children enrolled. Director further explained they have had no children enrolled since 2020 but keep the license active in the case that they do open up again. LPAs toured the facility with the Director and did not observe any school age children. Director informed LPAs the classroom for school age children is now used as a conference room for hospital staff.
No children's or staff files were reviewed as there have not been any school age children enrolled in over 4 years. LPA reminded Director it is their responsibility to ensure children and staff files are complete and current. LPA reminded Director prior to children being present in the CCC the classroom must be free of hazards and ready for children.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. 809-C CONTINUED PAGE 2 |
