25 | On April 2, 2026, at 9:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods conducted an unannounced annual/random inspection and met with Licensee Shu-Chi Wang. The LPA disclosed the purpose of the visit and conducted a health and safety inspection, touring the facility both inside and outside. Present during the inspection was the licensee’s fingerprint cleared husband. There were no children present during the visit. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM. to 6:00 PM.
The facility is a single-story home owned by the licensee; however, childcare is provided in an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) located in the backyard. The ADU was observed to be clean, orderly, and well maintained. It is equipped with centralized heating and ventilation to ensure the safety and comfort of children. The ADU contains a working telephone, a first aid kit, and a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, which meets the standards established by the State Fire Marshal.
At 9:30 AM, the LPA asked the licensee whether she transports children or has any firearms in the home. The licensee stated she does not provide transportation and does not have any firearms. At 9:40 AM, LPA Woods inspected cabinets in the on-limit areas and did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection. LPA tested the dual smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the ADU and found it to be functioning properly.
The ON-LIMIT AREAS include the ADU and the backyard. The designated isolation area is a section of the ADU library, located away from other children.
The OFF-LIMIT AREAS include the entire main house. These areas are made inaccessible to children by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
At 9:50 AM, the LPA inspected the backyard and confirmed that there are no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water present, in compliance with childcare licensing regulations. The outdoor play area includes play equipment and outdoor furniture, such as a playhouse and a table for activities (e.g., drawing, painting, or group activities). The backyard is fully fenced and free from defects or dangerous conditions. Multiple trees provide shade and protection from harmful sunlight during outdoor play.
