Licensees state that a child will be isolated from the other children in the entrance of the day care, if necessary due to illness or communicable disease until a parent/guardian is able to pick them up. Licensee does not provide transportation for the children.
Licensee stated that she does not provide Incidental Medical Services at this time. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
LPA reviewed a random selection of children's file and observed that parent's rights forms, immunization records forms, consents for emergency medical treatment forms, and Identification forms are in each file. 15 minute sleep checks are being conducted and documented. C2 is missing LIC9227
Licensee and one staff was reviewed for the following records: Employee Rights (LIC9052), Statement Acknowledging Requirement to report Child Abuse (LIC9108), and Immunization Record showing immunity to measles (MMR), pertussis (Tdap), and influenza (or statement declining influenza). Mandated Reporter Training expires on 10/25/25, Pediatric first Aid/CPR expires 5/1/25. S2 is missing TDAP, TB, MMR and influenza(or statement declining influenza) and file is not complete.
