25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) James Santos and Marilou Monico met with General Manager, Ludmila Parada, today and conducted a Case Management Inspection. The facility submitted an application for a change of capacity for their infant license from 10 to 8 infants, switching rooms from Room 2 to Infants Room (Previously Room 1). Fire clearance was approved on October 28, 2022. LPAs toured the facility and measured the indoor and outdoor areas during today's inspection.
The following are the classroom measurements and information:
Infants Room: 28.417 x 11.000 = 312.587 minus 26.986 (encumbered space) = 285.601
TOTAL INFANT INDOOR SPACE = 285.601 sq. ft. divided by 35 sq. ft. = 8 children
The infant room has 1 sink and 1 diaper changing table within arm's reach of a sink. The sink only has cold running water. There are 10 chairs, 1 table, 4 cribs, 9 cots, 12 cubbies and 4 hooks available for the children.
There is a staff bathroom next to the Preschool Children's Bathroom. The staff bathroom is clean, sanitary and operable. Sick children will be isolated in the office and isolation equipment will be provided. The facility has containers with tight-fitting lids for the disposal of solid waste. There is also a separate container with tight fitting cover for the disposable of diapers. The facility has fire extinguisher, fire alarm system, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors.
