25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deanna Villagrana and Fire inspector Alex Heredia met with licensee Elizabeth Sanchez for a case management visit. LPA informed licensee of visit on 06/05/2024. Present were licensee, licensee's husband, adult granddaughter with her three year old son, and licensee's five other grandchildren ages two 17 year old granddaughters that are twins, 11 year old granddaughter, eight year old grandson and one year old granddaughter.
LPA and Fire Inspector LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today’s inspection. LPA observed that the home is clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort of the children. Licensee was recently cited on 01/19/2024 for an addition to the home without a permit. The licensee was place on inactive until a permit was obtained. Licensee requested to use the inside of the home and stated she would not use the addition until a permit was obtained. A fire clearance was approved by San Jose Fire Department on 05/31/2024. Fire Inspector stated during visit the emergency exit to be used will be out the addition to the home and to the left. Licensee was informed children could pass through room to access backyard for outdoor play. Licensee understands this path must not be obstructed. During the visit it was also found that the garage was converted including an addition to a full bath. Licensee stated she did not have a permit for the conversion. Fire Inspector stated since the garage is not used for day care use that his clearance would still be Ok. Licensee was informed a permit must be obtained for garage also. Licensee stated she is in process of finding a new Architect.
LPA did not observe and violations during visit. Licensee was informed her inactive status would be under review of Management. LPA informed her she may not care for children other then her own and of one family until the status of her license is updated.
No deficiency was cited. |
