25 | On 11/15/2023 at 8:50am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Farida Raja, met with Director, Loc Kerwin, for an unannounced Required 3-Year inspection. The facility is licensed to serve children ages 2 years to entry into first grade in rooms 1,2,3 and 4. LPA observed all the required posted materials including daily activity schedule in the front entrance to the facility and menus in the kitchen. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
At 9:06am, LPA and Director toured the indoor and outdoor areas and observed the following ratios in each classroom.
Room 1: no children
Room 2 (2-3 year old): 10 Children: 1 Teacher
Room 3 (4-5 year old): 10 Children: 2 Teachers
Room 4 (3-4 year old): 8 Children: 1 Teacher
Facility was in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement. Children were engaged in various activities under the visual supervision and assistance from staff. Classrooms, children's restrooms, staff restrooms, kitchen and office area were inspected. Facility has central heating/cooling for comfort of children.
Director states that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. There is a working telephone at the facility (669-226-8782). Disinfectants, cleaning products, sunscreens and medicines were stored in high cabinets inaccessible to the children in care. Furniture and equipment were age appropriate and in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Floors were clean and free from tripping hazards. LPA observed appropriate changing tables that have raised sides and have vinyl changing pads that are at least 1 inch thick. Napping mats were observed to be appropriate and in good condition. LPA observed solid waste containers with tight-fitting lids in all rooms. Restrooms and sinks for children were observed to be safe, sanitary, and in working condition.
