32 | Restrooms for boys and girls are separated and provide individual privacy outside the room however, the in classroom bathrooms are available to both males and females. Children will also be bringing their own water bottle and the Center has portable water dispenser to ensure that drinking water is available. Furniture and equipment for children to use were observed. There were tables and chairs for children to use. Weapons will not be stored on the premises and LPA did not observe any bodies of water on campus. The Center will not be providing transportation.
The Center will provide non-perishable snacks. Children will bring their own lunch when attending full day. LPA observed container used for storage of solid wastes has tight-fitting cover on. Detergents, cleaning compounds, sharps, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children were stored where they are inaccessible to children in care. Storage cabinets have locks. At the end of the day, facility will receive janitorial service provided by the school district.
LPA reminded facility of the applicable civil penalties for those adults who have not received fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the license, and who come in contact with or provide care and supervision to the children. For an initial violation, civil penalty amounts to $100.00 per person per day up to $500.00 per person. For a subsequent violation within a 12-month period, civil penalty amounts to $100.00 per person up to $3000.00 per person.
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS has been submitted to the Department. LPA reviewed with Melissa Jostedt the violations that would result in an immediate assessment of civil penalty in the amount of $500.
