32 | LPAs observed that the playgrounds are surrounded by appropriate fencing and the outdoor surfaces are safe. Shades are provided by canopies and building overhang. Drinking water outdoors are provided via individual water bottles. No bodies of water were observed.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Site Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Since Room 1 is only measured for 33 children and the facility requested a capacity of 48 children in the preschool program, an updated application was submitted to LPAs during the inspection.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Sarah Vazquez, Site Director. LPAs advised Sarah that a license for 33 preschoolers and 12 children in the toddler option program will be submitted to Licensing Management for the final stage of approval upon receipt of the following:
1) A Waiver request along with staggered schedules for the playground space.
2) A Waiver request along with staggered schedules for shared playground.
3) Photos showing that the climbing structure in Playground 3 has been installed with resilient material under and around the structure.
4) An approved fire clearance for the capacity of 45 children.
There were no deficiencies cited.
A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS. |
