25 | On June 4, 2024 at 12:57 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marilou Monico, made an unannounced Case Management Inspection in response to licensee's request to increase the capacity from 8 to 14 children. LPA met with Licensee, Fernanda Martins Vidigal, and explained to her the purpose of today's visit. Also present in the home were licensee's adult assistant and five (5) daycare children: 2 infants and 3 preschool age. The home is a one storey with three (2) bedrooms and two (2) baths. Licensee states that there are two (2) adults residing in the home: herself and her landlord.
Licensee states that the daycare is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Licensee has completed the Preventative Health and Safety Training including Nutrition and Lead Poisoning Prevention and a copy of the certification is on file. Licensee's CPR and First Aid certifications are current and expire on February 25, 2026. LPA discussed and provided Licensee a copy of the ratio and capacity chart.
LPA inspected the indoor and outdoor areas of the home. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and barricaded kitchen. Off limit areas inside the home are: kitchen, master bedroom, master bathroom, Guest Bedroom, and garage. Off limit areas outside the home: gated area of the backyard including storage room, tool shed, and right side yard. Cleaning products, sharp objects, and other similar items are stored inaccessible to children. LPA observed sufficient toys, supplies, and equipment for the day care children. Licensee states that there are no weapons or firearms in the home. There were no bodies of water observed.
LPA reviewed the file for licensee's assistant.
