32 | The preschool playground is adequately fenced. There is sufficient equipment, toys, and materials for the preschool children outdoors. Barbara states that the preschool playground will be shared with children from Stratford's private TK and Kindergarten programs. A waiver request along with separate class schedules was provided to LPAs during today's inspection. LPAs discussed supervision requirements of the children whenever they are in the playground area. Shaded rest areas are available throughout the playground via building overhangs, trees, and canopy. There were no bodies of water observed during today's inspection. Areas around the age appropriate & secure play structure and slide have resilient material (wood chips). LPAs observed a portion of the cemented pathway surrounding the playground that has broken concrete and requires repair. Transportation will not be provided by the Facility. The Facility has a working telephone: 408-458-9665.
LPAs reviewed the LIC 311A, Records to Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.
Barbara states that the Facility plans on administering medication to the children and providing Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see PIN 22-02-CCP. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
