Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer "Jen" Beehler conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA was greeted by Joy Yap, Acting Preschool Director and provided access to the facility.

LPA observed children seated at lunch time, music was playing quietly in the background and children were eating while teachers observed and helped kids if they needed assistance. The children completed a chant prior to eating that discusses giving thanks for food and their friends in class. LPA observed the Poppy Class had 3 preschool children and 1 teacher, Sunflower class had 23 preschool children and 3 teachers and Iris class had 23 preschool children and 3 teachers for a total of 49 children. This is compliant with ratio and capacity requirements.

LPA conducted file reviews and found all staff files to be complete. LPA observed Joy Yap's file qualified her to be the preschool Director.

During today's inspection the following documents were collected:

  • Updated LIC200A
  • Administrative Organization
  • Updated LIC500
  • Updated LIC610

Due to today's inspection, no deficiencies were cited. Exit interview conducted with Acting Director Joy Yap, report reviewed and provided. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT PROVIDED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
